Our Math Standards are derived from Ohio's Early Learning Content Standards and NCTM Standards and are more rigorous than the Common Core. They are intended to encompass ALL mathematical skills to which preschool and kindergarten children should be exposed.
Number Sense includes rote counting, one-to-one correspondence, quantifying, comparing sets, numeral recognition, beginning addition and more.
Geometry includes two-dimensional and three-dimensional shape recognition, as well as some visual and spatial skills.
Measurement includes using non-standard units to measure length, weight and volume, ordering by size and more.
Sorting and Patterning
Sorting and Patterning includes sorting by one or more attributes, creating Venn diagrams, patterns and more.
Problem Solving includes solving every day problems using past experience as well as strategy games and more.
